Digital transformation is in the same time a great opportunity and a challenge for rural areas. To ensure that everyone can fully benefit from it, one need to ensure that all have the necessary skills to connect. At the Digital Social Summit on March 29, COM³ partners shared their creative solutions to improve digital skills in rural SMEs.
The 4th Digital Social Summit took place on March 29 & 30, 2022, as a digital conference with hybrid livestream from Stuttgart, Germany. The event brought together people who are passionate about digitalisation. Volunteers and professionals came here to find out about digital transformation trends, plan next steps and create new connections. The main question is: how civil society organisations can succeed in participating in the debates around digitalisation, share their expertise and make their voices heard. Participants could attend lightning talks, panels, workshops, best practice presentations, expert sessions and maker spaces.
In a dedicated session, COM³ partners, together with partners from its sister project, CORA, shared their approach and experiences for creating a more digital inclusive environment in rural areas. COM³ partners shared their stories and explained how they help citizens, small businesses and administrations make the most of digital opportunities.
