Around 20 businesses attended Vinje Municipality’s second business event on 1 June 2022. The main topic of the evening was the currently high and volatile energy prices in Norway.
Vinje Municipality and the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) aim to support local business and facilitate business development. One of the actions of the Vinje/USN COM³ pilot is a new event series for the local business community. The idea behind the event series is to create an arena where Vinje Municipality and local businesses can meet to learn new things, network and exchange information.
The second event in the series took place on 1 June 2022. Experts from the electricity company Ishavskraft held a presentation on the energy market, elaborating on the current situation with high and volatile prices. They also provided some predictions for the future, as well as advice on how companies may handle the situation. In addition, two important regional business support organisations visited the event. Telemark Næringshage and Visit Telemark presented their services and current projects. Vinje’s mayor and head of business support were also present to share the latest news from the municipality.
The event took place at Haukeli hotel, where the participants were served delicious specialties of the house.
