The University of Stavanger educates students on Bachelor, Master, and PhD level and conducts research on different aspects of digital transformation such as smart cities and regions. Faculties like Engineering and the Business School have been involved in this for a long time and collaborate with both municipalities and businesses.

Role in COM³
The University of Stavanger contributes to developing the COM³ support model and to the local in-depth surveys in collaboration with the Cluster for Industrial Asset Management (CIAM). In cooperation with CIAM, the university also coordinates the pilot activities in Rogaland county to overcome the challenges of industries and smaller businesses located in rural areas.
